The goddess of longevity seated within an elaborate golden aureole above a lotus throne flanked by Green Tara and Bhrikuti, surrounded by numerous Bodhisattva attendants, Heruka figures and protector deities in fiery aureoles all with inscriptions below in gold, with three Nyingma lamas: Jigme Lingpa (1729-98), Longchenpa (1308-64), and Khang Trol at top and Yeshe Tsogyal at bottom

Lot Essay

White Tara is surrounded by the deities of the very important Nyingma terma and tantric cycle of practice known as Longchen Nyingtig, (see note for lot 95) connected to the teachings of the lamas depicted at top.
