A Japanese ivory and bone rectangular box and cover
deeply carved in relief to the lid with a dense cluster of quail amongst millet, horn inlaid eyes, the sides carved to simulate basket weave, standing on four feet forming further millet, the black lacquer interior decorated in hiramakie with the Three Friends -- 7¾in. (19.7cm) diam, (old damages).
