manuscript on paper, 17ll. of flowing black naskh, punctuation in red, gold roundels and red commas between verses, red and black ruled margin, occasional marginal notes, divisions of text marked marginally in red, sura headings in red between red rules, gold and polychrome illuminated opening folio with gold scrollong vine in the margins, a falnameh in Persian at the end, colophon in informal hand on final folio signed by Abu Bakr b. Haji Muhammad Amin in Damascus stating the manuscript was started on Tuesday 12th Rabi' I AH 1th November 1660 AD and finished on Thursday 27th Dhu'l-Qa'da AH 1077/21st May 1667 AD, brown morocco binding with orange stamped floral medallion and spandrels - 11 x 6¼in. (28 x 16cm.)
