The tapering ovoid body and the neck and shoulder decorated in delicate tones with lotus sprays and scrolling tendrils, between narrow borders of petal lappets, ruyi heads and foliate scroll, with beaded garlands pendent below a further ruyi band at the mouth rim, with a pair of gilt-copper handles cast with bosses and clambering chilong, the slightly domed cover cast with a yin-yang symbol surrounded by an openwork design of lotus scroll within an outer keyfret border
