The eboshi kabuto (cap-shaped helmet) lacquered silver with the maedate (forecrest) an iron disc carved with a family crest of stylized wisteria, a gold-lacquered five-lame close-fitting neck guard laced with dark blue spaced-lacing, the simple iron hambo (half face mask) lacquered silver with a gold-lacquered three-lame iron yodarekake (throat guard); the entire suit lacquered silver, the do (cuirass) iyozane (scales with little overlap) in dark blue spaced-lacing and fitted with a bracket at the back for a flag, with seven sections of kusazari (tassets); the chu-sode (medium-sized shoulder guards) laced with dark blue spaced-lacing; black-lacquered chain mail sleeves with small silvered-iron plates sewn on the backing fabric, the gauntlets with applied-bronze family crests of a mandarin orange; matching chain mail haidate (thigh guards); shino-suneate (splint shin guards) lacquered gold
