HERBERT BLISS Although the Great War interrupted his playing career it is still surprising that Bert Bliss played just the once for England at full International level. Indeed this only appearance, against Scotland in 1921 was towards the end of his ten-year spell with Tottenham Hotspur He joined Spurs from his local side Willenhall Swifts in April 1912 and played around 370 times for the club scoring 168 goals, including two in the F.A.Cup Semi-Final of 1921. In December 1922 he moved to Clapton Orient before ending his playing career with Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic in season 1925-26 THE FOLLOWING LOTS 4 TO 10 RELATE TO THE CAREER OF HERBERT BLISS
