A related 'lustre en tole vernie' was published by La Mesangère in his Recueil of 1807, and similar tôle peinte light fixtures, including Egyptian 'herm-footed' caryatid wall-lights, can also be seen in a watercolour design by the Deharne workshops, now in the Bibliothèque Marmottan, Paris (illustrated in N. de Reynies, Le Mobilier Domestique, Paris, 1987, vol.II, p.736 and 731).
