A Victorian shaped circular salver
of shaped circular form, on scroll feet and with an applied rococo scrolling foliate border, the ground engraved with a broad frieze of arabesques surrounding a presentation inscription: "In grateful recognition of kind services rendered in the case of the extensive corn & seed robberies connected with their several warehouses, this testamonial is presented to Mr William Biggs of Duke Street, Reading, by Messrs. Sutton & Sons, Mr Robt. Oakshott, Mr William Edward Cooper, Mr William Champion, Octr. 1867", Reilly & Storer, London 1843 - 10¼in. (26cm.), 17oz.
