Of canted oblong form with an ebony finial to the hinged lid and a body with engraved foliate borders with a central cartouche to the sides, engraved to one side with a bird crest, with a looped fruitwood handle, the underside impressed with hallmarks JP over TP, formerly silvered, with trade label
