The dentil-moulded cornice above a plain frieze and four gothic-arched astragal-glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with moulded edge and secretaire drawer fitted with an arrangement of mahogany-lined satinwood drawers, pigeon-holes, and leather-lined writing surface above two deep mahogany-lined drawers, flanked by four drawers to either side on a plinth base, the rear corners of the cornice replaced as previously cut to accomodate a ceiling moulding
