FALKNER, Thomas (1707-1784). A Description of Patagonia, and the Adjoining Parts of South America: ... and some Particulars relating to Falkland's Islands. Hereford: Printed by C. Pugh, 1774. 4° (255 x 210mm). 2 folding engraved maps. Later mottled half calf, raised bands gilt.
FIRST EDITION. Falkner lived forty years in South America and his knowledge of the Falklands came largely from Spanish officers who were there in 1767 to hand over of the islands.
