(Light browning, pp.137-144 duplicated and bound between pp.144 and 145.) Original printed wrappers, glassine dustwrapper (some light browning and slight marking, spine ends chipped, dustwrapper browned and with short tears). FIRST EDITION, ONE OF 44 COPIES, with a loosely-inserted colour-printed lithograph after Crosby in a glassine sleeve. Minkoff A11; Published in Paris p.408.

FIRST EDITIONS OF THE COMPLETE SET OF SHADOWS OF THE SUN. RARE. The complete set of Harry Crosby's diaries from 1 January 1922 to 9 December 1929; only one set of all three volumes is listed at auction by ABPC since 1975. The present set retains the lithograph of Crosby's drawing that was issued with the first series. (3)
