B. BUNTING. Typed letter signed ('B') to Ezra Pound, Shadingfield, Wylham, Northumberland, 28 February 1969, 1 page, 8vo, envelope, commencing with a poem in praise of Pound and the Cantos: 'Ezra, Ezra, , I need something to read for my pleasure, , and the cantos I have end too soon. , What they call wisdom isnt, mostly; but , what sings is wise and there is no singing better , than yours. Snow, but spring's close, and many , besides me are listening for your voice. , We've lived in a world full of splendour, , and still we shall leave it something better than , a museum. Some young men are alive, there's green , on old lawns, let the one sure poem of the century , complete its shape and stand steady for the children.' Bunting then discusses the writers Louis Zukofsky, Hugh McDiarmid and David Jones, and the possibility of meeting Pound, concluding with a comment on the health of his eyes.
