'Mr. Housman's Message' was first published in Canzoni in 1911, under the title 'Song in the Manner of Housman', and was included in the American edition of Lustra in 1917 under the title 'Housman's Message to Mankind'. Gallup notes that the present broadside is 'presumably the first separate edition of the poem'. Gallup Pound (1983) E2j.
