the former on a rising circular foot scratch-engraved with initials and with a moulded body band, maker's mark indistinct, London 1724 - 3¼in. (8.25cm.), the latter of drum form, with a blue glass liner, bracket handle and reeded slightly-domed hinged cover with shell thumb piece, the front engraved with a crest, William Bateman, London 1825 - 2¾in.
