The first figure-group modelled standing either-side of a post inscribed in raised uppercase LANGOLIN 1 MILE, he wears a blue jacket, green cravat, yellow waistcoat and white trousers, she wears a black wide-brimmed hat, orange shawl, pink apron and flowered skirt and balances her arm on a green bucket, on a white oval base applied with sprigs; the second figure-group modelled as Highlanders, he plays the bagpipes in traditional costume and she wears a blue dress, seated on a circular support painted with trailing flowers; the third figure modelled as a Highlander in traditional brightly-coloured costume with a hound at his side; the Toby-jugs typically modelled and squat in form, enriched in pink and gold lustre
