It is extremely rare to find Yixing snuff bottles with orginal, matching stoppers. This outstanding miniature example relates to the finest of this type of ware, such as those illustrated by Moss et. al., The Art of the Chinese Snuff Bottle, nos. 252-255, and is probably by the same artist.
