Lot Essay

Thomas and George Seddon, successors to a long established firm of cabinet makers, moved to Grays Inn Road in about 1832 after their previous premises had been extensively damaged by fire. Cf. Dictionary of English Furniture, Funiture History Society, Maney, 1660-1840, p.796
