Struck K. Schomaker Schwerin, Schwerin, circa 1904
On a circular domed foot with acanthus band and band of curves above rising to a knopped stem, with a grapes and vines knop and bands of various foliage, detachable upper eight-light part with foliate scroll arms with Egyptian mask finial attached to each other with chains, the centre with tureen finial with domed cover and acorn finial, marked on base
70 cm. high
gross 7784 gr.
Provenance
This candelabrum was originally part of a set of four and was presented to the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg Schwerin by members of the family on the occasion of their marriage in June 1904.
