A RARE GRISAILLE-DECORATED EUROPEAN-SUBJECT PLATE
CIRCA 1745
Decorated at the centre primarily en grisaille and with flesh tones with two gentlemen in conversation seated at a table, one with a lady on his lap, a third gentleman holding a covered vase approaching the group, all set in a garden with large Western buildings in the background, with gilt spearheads in the well and a du Paquier-style band at the border
