The first pair enamelled and gilt at the centre with the coat-of-arms for Foulis impaling Jenkins, helmet and crest, below gilt shell-scroll at the border, some restoration; and a pair of pseudo-armorial soup-plates with naked children in panels and cartouches

The armorial service appears to be unrecorded; see D. S. Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain, London, 1974, p. 372 for a dinner service with the arms of Foulis with a similar border design, and p. 437 for a tea-service with spearhead border for Foulis impaling Jones (amended to Jenkins in volume II). Mr. Howard informs us that it is likely this service was ordered at the same time as the tea-service.
