Finely enamelled on the exterior on one side with a large shaped cartouche depicting two ladies shearing sheep beside two children dancing to a tune played by a gentleman with his bagpipes, the other side with a seated shepherdess in conversation with a couple holding a bird in a cage, their dog lying beside them, the shepherdess' sheep to either side of the scene, the cartouches divided by smaller harbour-scene panels, all reserved on an iron-red and grisaille cell-pattern ground enriched with gilt flower sprays, the interior with a central fruit and flower spray below delicate gilt stylised spearheads and an iron-red band at the rim, crack
