painted to the centre with an interior, a lady playing a lute, seated by a gentleman, wearing 17th century dress within an octagonal panel on a gilt ground within a border moulded with bands of lozenges and reserved with panels of flowers within a shaped gilt-line rim, underglaze blue and printed marks -- 9¾in. (24.7cm.) diam.
