The hinged lid of the circular box embossed with French crown and cock, inscribed CHARTE de 1830 FRANCE, with military flags and banner inscribed HONNEUR PATRIE, against a matte ground with an oak leaf and acorn border and laurel leaf rim, marked on reverse
