Lot Essay

The Heiligenkreuzer Hof is an inner courtyard in the first district of Vienna (Wien I), belonging to the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz. The courtyard is enclosed by Baroque buildings and contains the chapel of St. Bernhard of Clairvaux. The view of the present lot is from the south west into the courtyard. Nowadays the College of Applied Arts resides here.
