Modelled by J.P. Melchior after an engraving by Caylus (1738), inspired by Etudes prises dans le bas Peuple ou les Cris de Paris by Bouchardon, depicting a copper engraving-seller seated on a rockwork outcrop, a young boy and a seated young girl looking at the prints, on shaped grassy rockwork base
