A Japanese miniature gilt-lacquer wooden shrine, 19th Century
modelled in two sections in the form of a flattened peach, the interior carved with a seated Bodhisattva, the exterior encased in pierced scrolling lotus repousse gilt-copper mounts -- 2½in. (6.5cm.) high.
