A NORTH-WEST PERSIAN BRONZE DAGGER
CIRCA 8TH CENTURY B.C.
The blade with mid-rib, emerging from the mouths of two stylized animal heads, their eyes recessed for inlay (now missing), the grip and upper part of blade with incised decoration, the ribbed pommel with twin roundels each decorated with a six-petalled rosette recessed for inlay, traces of red pigment remaining
17 7/8 in. (45.5 cm.) long
