A PAIR OF CHARLES II GILT CHALICES AND PATENS
Maker's mark MK between cinquefoils, London, 1683
Each on a domed foot and knopped stem with a plain bucket shaped bowl, the patens with disc handles, each inscribed to base St Martins Par. for Priv Comm, April 16, 1684, with scratch weights no 28, 7=2, No 29, 7=5, bearing full mark to the rim of the bowl, the patens with maker's mark to underside and numbered 27 and 28 to top, 14cm (5 1/2in) high, 433gr (15.2oz) total weight
