Lot Essay

The arms are those of Lowther impaling a variation of Golding of Maiden Erleigh, County Berkshire, probably for St George Georges Lowther, of Brading, Isle of Wight, Captain 69th Regiment. He was born in 1807 and married firstly, Miss Amos. He married secondly 22 May 1851 Mary Ann Alexandrina Frederica, daughter of Edward Golding, of Maiden Erlight, near Reading, Berkshire. He died 10 March 1871.
