Related bureau/dressing tables, fitted with swing-mirrors, formed part of the 'Union suits compleat with boxes, brushes etc' at Blair Castle, Scotland, which were restored in 1739 by the Soho cabinet-maker John Hodson (fl.1727-1744) (A. Coleridge, 'John Hodson and some cabinet-makers at Blair Castle', The Connoisseur, April 1963, p. 230, fig. 15).
