AN UNUSUAL CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE
QIANLONG INCISED SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The amphora-shaped vase is enamelled with stylised lotus scrolls against a turquoise ground on the lower body and daisy scrolls in three registers around the shoulder, neck and below the mouth, separated by gilt-bronze scroll bands, flanked by a pair of kui dragon handles, the base with upright gilt-bronze lappets, all raised on a narrow foot encircled by enamelled flowers
