Finely painted in brilliant blue tones with a continuous mountain and river landscape scene, depicting a group of three scholars seated on a rocky promontory as an attendant approaches carrying a qin, with a boatman steering his boat along a calm river, watched on by a rider and his servant crossing a bridge, with another scholar hidden in a viewing pavilion amidst trees beneath a mountain, the cylindrical neck encircled by bands of ruyi, clouds, T-patterns and dots, all beneath a galleried rim
