A RARE FAMILLE ROSE LEMON-YELLOW-GROUND DOUBLE-GOURD VASE
GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908)

Finely painted around the double-gourd-shaped body with an attractive design of butterflies flying amidst branches of budding and flowering peony intertwined with leafy branches bearing yellow berries, beside narcissus, all against a bright lemon-yellow-enamelled ground, the mouth rim encircled by a key-fret band and the base inscribed in iron-red Chang Chun Yong Qing, 'Eternal Joy and Enduring Spring' (rim chip restored)
