SPURIOUS BLUE INTERLACED L'S MARKS, THE PORCELAIN 18TH CENTURY, THE DECORATION 19TH CENTURY
Each painted with a bouquet, the border with looped gilt-edged turquoise ribbon issuing similar garlands with a gilt Taillandier shaped band and gilt dentil rims; together with two Sèvres style turquoise-ground 'jewelled' cabinet cups and saucers, the larger cup painted after Boucher with a shepherd and companion reserved within a chased band on the turquoise ground elaborately gilt with strapwork applied with 'rubies' and 'pearls', the conforming saucer painted with a trophy; the smaller cup painted with a named portrait of the duchesse de Maine reserved on the pale-turquoise ground within a gilt band applied with 'pearls', its saucer gilt with strapwork
