Provenance
Gift from the artist to the original owner, Mr Huang Song He, who is a renowned poet particularly amongst the Chinese community in Southeast Asia.

Lot Essay

As a celebrated poet, Mr Huang is also a well regarded Chinese calligrapher. Both the artist and painter shared common interests in Chinese poetry, calligraphy and painting and both developed a friendship that lasted a lifetime.
