With gilt-finished lever movement highly engraved throughout with scrolls, steel balance with halberd-style blued steel weights, glazed dust cover, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, centre seconds, the reverse with a polychrome enamel scene depicting three men on an elephant being attacked by a ferocious tiger, the circular case with bezels, pendant and bow set with split pearls, dial and movement signed, case and movement also signed with the Chinese characters for Bovet
