Cal. 972, with nickel-finished lever movement, 19 jewels, the dial with planispheric centre indicating horizon degrees for the angle of the sun between sunrise and sunset, silvered brushed 24-hour chapter ring numbered I to XII twice, blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds combined with phases of the moon, revolving gold ring marked with months of the year, inner eccentric ring with signs of the Zodiac, the hour hand with sun emblem indicating the date, month, corresponding Zodiac sign, sunrise and sunset, the circular case with plain back, dial signed Gübelin, movement signed International Watch Co., case signed R. Daners fecit Lucerna 1983

This watch is accompanied by an International Warranty, an interchangeable 18k gold back engraved with astrolabe projections and rotating bar with folding sight terminals, a spare crystal and a detailed description of the watch from Messrs. Gübelin

The present watch is the only example with an astrolabe back cover commissioned by the owner. Only two watches were made for the Latitude of Lucerne.
