Both, with nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Louis XIV hands, in circular polished case, the front cover with a cast medallion, designed by Hans Erni, of William Tell with a bow and arrow in his hands, the first with gold cuvette, the back cover with an apple and arrow against the Swiss Cross with the inscription 150. Eidgenössisches Schützenfest 1979 Luzern, with associated 18k gold chain, the second, with associated 14k gold neckchain, each case, dial and movement signed

These two watches are accompanied by two Extracts from the Archives confirming production of No. 5 in 1979 and No. 3 in 1978 and their subsequent sales on 25 June 1979 and 18 June 1979 and a photocopy of a newspaper article and brochure about this contest

These two watches, with cover commissioned from Hans Erni, the well known Swiss contemporary artist, were each produced in a limited edition of 100 examples and were retailed by Messrs. Gübelin of Lucerne in commemoration of their firm's 125th anniversary and the 150th anniversary of the Swiss Federal Target Shooting Festival.
