Cal. 1120/2, with nickel-finished lever movement, 36 jewels, 21k gold-rimmed rotor engraved 1594 Gerard Mercator 1994, the polychrome cloisonné enamel dial depicting the map of Japan, the time indicated by hands resembling legs of the early hand-held compasses used by Gerardus Mercator, both moving in an arc over two sectors calibrated for 12 hours and 60 minutes with Arabic numerals, the circular case with stepped bezel, fluted lugs, glazed display snap on back, together with a platinum Vacheron Constantin buckle, case, dial and movement signed
