Painted in two shades of brilliant blue together with turquoise under a shiny glaze with a design of radiating panels surrounded by arabesques and containing palmettes flanked by small rosettes and floral sprays all issuing from a central shaped panel, excellent condition, framed, old collection label on reverse

This is a slightly later example of a design of which four earlier examples can be seen in lot 334. The turquoise is a little deeper and the glaze noticeably more shiny. Four similar tiles to the present example are in the British Museum (Porter, Venetia: Islamic Tiles, London, 1995, pl.95, p.106).
