The twenty-eight tiles together forming a frieze, the majority of tiles painted in blue with fine radiating floral sprays, the upper and lower tiles also with a blue ground border of meandering flowering vine between plain blue stripes, edges chipped, mounted together on board

Identical tiles are used in the dado of the church of Saint Stephen in New Julfa, Isfahan (Carswell, John: New Julfa, Oxford, 1968, p.43 and pl.29). Those examples are thought to date from the late 17th or 18th century.
