IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Comprising forty-four tiles and part tiles together forming joined spandrels, the cobalt-blue ground with bold scrolling yellow arabesques entwined with spiralling floral tendrils, each spandrel containing a cartouche inscribed in nasta'liq, in yellow border of meandering flowering vine between plain stripes, occasional damages and repairs, mounted on board in three sections
