Of rectangular form, the lustre ground left in reserve around spiralling tendrils issuing bold foliage around a raised cobalt-blue naskh inscription, composite from two original tiles, right hand section with repaired break, mounted on board

Due to the composite nature of this tile, it is only possible to say that the inscription is Persian.

The style of the script and the drawing of the background, coupled with the size of the tile, make it very close in style to the tile offered as lot 257 and the others in the group noted in the footnote to that lot.
