Other tiles from the same original spandrel design panel are in the Victoria and Albert Museum (Lane, Arthur: A Guide to the Collection of Tiles, London, 1960, pl.14a). The border design on its own is used on a group of four border tiles sold in these Rooms, 15 October 2002, lot 337, a further band of six tiles in the David Collection, Copenhagen (Folsach, Kjeld v.: Art from the World of Islam in the David Collection, Copenhagen, 2001, no.270, p.190), and a fragment in the Hetjens Museum, Düsseldorf (Islamische Keramik, exhibition catalogue, Düsseldorf, 1973, no.345(pt.), p.235), Further examples are in the Sadberk Hanim Museum, Istanbul (Altun, Ara; Carswell, John and Öney, Gönül: Turkish Tiles and Ceramics, Istanbul, 1991, no.i.62, p.41 and cover illustr.).
