Long awaited and star of the show, final wine of the forth and last flight at Rudy Kurniawan's Fall 2003 Pétrus Magnum dinner. Showing reminicent notes of the '59, leather, spice, evolved cedar box, masculine to be certan. Fruit surprisingly lively and fresh for such an 'elder statesman' of a wine. Very concentrated flavors. I found this sample to have more finesse than the '29 & '21 but not nearly as ebullient as them. Finished with rose petals, potpourri, prunes, hints of orange zest and raspberry. ST
