"Having gone through nearly three cases of this wine, I can unequivocally say that it has been one of the great treasures in my cellar. Few other wines have been as consistently brilliant and spectacular as the 1967 Les Cédres. This wine is made 100 from old vines of Château de la Nerthe (the Cuvée des Cadettes). With nearly 15 alcohol, the wine retains a huge, unctuous texture, thick, juicy fruit, and Asian spices, smoky, cedar, and black-fruit aromas and flavors. It has always been so thick and rich that it tasted almost sweet. This glorious Châteauneuf du Pape is one of the monumental wines of the appellation." Robert Parker, Wines of the Rhône Valley, 1997
