The ivory field containing the seated figure of Ahmad Shah with silk highlights flanked on either side by a spiralling column, a carpet of alternately facing boteh below and an pea-green canopy above supporting a brick-red arch filled with arabesques, flowering vine and an inscription cartouche, in an indigo border with a vase at each corner issuing scrolling flowering vine with perching birds between indigo floral meander and narrow reciprocal skittle-pattern minor stripes, good pile throughout with lustrous wool, minute surface stains, overall good condition
