An album of Brown Studies, a collection of 15 watercolours in sepia wash, of various topographical views of The British Isles, Gibraltar, North Africa and The West Indies, one signed and dated 'J M C 1841' (lower right), 26 x 17.8cm. and larger, together with a grey wash drawing by another hand of Mecenaes Villa, Tivoli, inscribed and dated 'Tivoli 1785' (lower left) and further inscribed on the reverse 'Kniep Nov 15 -- 97 Mecinas's Villa ... Tivoli No 25.'
