Comic valentines
two moveable comic cards, one of an ape on a bike, pulling tab, activates the wheels, verse reads 'Your figure above, you plainly may view,/With legs & arms in action;/The likeness so perfect, the portrait so true,/Must give you satisfaction - 5¾ X 8in. 15 X 20cm., circa 1840; the other of a lady, pulling the tab makes the head nod, verse reads 'You may do the Grecian bend,/And ogle with your goggle eys;/But assured my ugly friend,/A husband you'll never win the prize - 3½ X 5in. 9 X 13cm.; three others, not mechanical, on by A Park, London - various sizes (5)
